Boris is always very energetic and enthusiastic. He likes to get up early, exercise, eat healthy, do fun things with friends and travel. In his spare time, he does Crossfit and running. He is currently training for the Amsterdam marathon. He also enjoys paddling, golfing, surfing and sailing. In short, he loves being outdoors.
For the past three years, Boris has been working as a physiotherapist. He also works for several national youth teams at the Dutch Basketball Federation. A fun fact: Boris started his own podcast this year, "Your Best Self - the Podcast", because he loves talking about health and wants to share his knowledge.
Boris has a keen interest in health. He enjoys learning about nutrition, training and everything related to mindset and spirituality. In his youth he always played football, and during his studies he was introduced to Crossfit. He was immediately sold and has since participated fanatically in several competitions. He soon discovered that he enjoyed coaching, after which he completed his Crossfit Level 1 training. He has been a Crossfit Coach since 2018 and Personal Trainer since 2019. He loves helping people achieve their goals, something that has always meshed well with his work as a physiotherapist. He combines his training knowledge with his expertise as a physiotherapist.
Boris is a therapist who sees everyone as individuals and enjoys working together towards his patients' goals. He looks at each complaint from a holistic approach, meaning that he not only looks at the symptom, but also at what is needed in the patient's lifestyle to create the right conditions for optimal recovery. He believes it always takes a combination of both his therapy and the patient's commitment and willingness to change and take action. He combines his vision of physiotherapy with his experience in training and sports.
His specialities lie in sports-related complaints. He has extensive experience in complaints related to Crossfit, as well as running, basketball, football, padel/tennis, golf, and so on. He has the most experience with shoulder and ankle complaints.
Boris believes in addressing the core rather than fighting symptoms. "Long-term success and durability are achieved by addressing the root causes, not by applying short-term fixes."
